Shadow teams

Updated by Amber De Smet

Shadow teams allow scouts to make a comparison between a team of internal players and a fictitious composed team of external players.

How to add a shadow team?

By clicking on the green 'Add' button, you can create a new shadow team. A pop-up will appear in which you can enter the following details about the shadow team: date of creation, name of the shadow team, description of the shadow team and which users can consult the shadow team.

By clicking on the green 'Create shadow team' button behind a shadow team, it is now possible to add players to the shadow team.

You can use the yellow filter button to display specific players in the table on the right. You can filter by team, year of birth, ratings start date, position, minimum player rating, foot, maturity, nationality, club and scout. You can also use the 'Quick search' function to search a specific player.

To effectively add a player to the team, type his/her name into the dropdown on the player's position. By selecting him/her, he/she will then be added. It is also possible to add several players on one position.

After you have created a shadow team and added players to it, you can view the composed team again by clicking on the blue button 'View shadow team'. If you want to add a player to the shadow team or remove a player, you have to click on the green button again. If you want to change the name of the shadow team, you can click on the yellow 'Edit' button. To delete a shadow team, use the red button.

How to compare shadow teams?

After you have created a shadow team and added players to it, you can compare the shadow team with other shadow teams. By selecting the shadow team (by clicking on the row of the shadow team), the blue button 'Compare' will become visible at the top. When you click on it, both teams will be displayed next to each other. You can also print them by clicking the 'Print' button.

When you click on a particular position, a pop-up appears which compares the ratings of the players. This enables the scouting department to discuss players based on objective and subjective arguments.
